Kunwer Sachdev · Mentor & portfolio architect
Su-vastika (a Rotomag company) is the power-electronics venture where I serve as mentor — and where I helped build the patent and product portfolio from the ground up. The thesis is the one I have spent a career proving: build on invention, not imitation.
Headquartered with its own manufacturing in Ghamroj, Haryana, Su-vastika designs and builds its own lithium energy-storage and backup-power systems on the back of more than ten years of in-house R&D. Below are the two product lines I am most proud of — and the intellectual property that protects them.

The Lift Inverter / Emergency Rescue Device (ERD) is Su-vastika safety-first answer to elevator power failures. When the grid drops, the ERD takes over instantly, brings the lift gently to the nearest floor and opens the doors — no diesel, no fumes, no panic, and no one stranded between floors. The range spans 10 KVA to 200 KVA, from a single residential lift to heavy commercial and industrial elevator banks and escalators. Four core models anchor the line:
Each unit is engineered for continuous, silent operation and built around Su-vastika own control electronics — purpose-built rescue safety of the kind increasingly written into modern building codes.

Su-vastika Energy Storage Systems (ESS) and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) are designed to do one thing decisively: replace the diesel generator. Built around LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) banks rated for roughly 6,000 charge cycles, they deliver clean, silent, fuel-free backup for homes, shops, offices and factories. The range runs from 4 KVA to 100 KVA in both single-phase (1P) and three-phase (3P) configurations:
Because the cells, the battery-management system and the power electronics are developed and integrated in-house, the systems are tuned as a single unit. That integration is exactly why partners are taking notice: in 2025 Su-vastika joined forces with Statcon Energiaa to deploy lithium BESS across India and abroad, and secured strategic investment to scale manufacturing.
What ties it together is intellectual property. Su-vastika has filed 25 patents, with 11 already granted by the Indian Patent Office and 14 more applications in process — each granted patent backed by an official government certificate. The portfolio spans the company full technology stack:
Building this portfolio is the work I am proudest of at Su-vastika. It is what turns a manufacturing business into a defensible technology company — the same principle that powered my earlier work building India inverter industry: own the invention, and the market follows. For founders and partners evaluating Su-vastika, the patents are not decoration. They are the moat.
